Ares is a free file sharing program that allows users to download files including videos, music, software, games, images, and much more for free. As a member of the virtual community, you can search and download just about any file shared by other users. Latest version now supports BitTorrent protocol. Ares has been downloaded by millions of people from every country in the world. Initially formed as a spin-off of the Gnutella network, Ares quickly developed its own infrastructure and transitioned to its own network. At any given time, there are hundreds of thousands of users on the Ares network, sharing millions of files. Other P2P sharing apps such as Frostwire or Limewire are built are Java which use up a lot of memory and resources while Ares is extremely light use, typically not exceeding 5% of your CPU.
